Chinese celebrities visit Narrabri Shire to hunt the yowie

About 44 million Chinese TV viewers will soon be seeing the sights of Narrabri Shire.

A novel adventure holiday brought some of the superstars of Chinese television to Narrabri last week in search of the yowie.
Travel With A Superstar is a Chinese reality TV show with a massive audience of some 44 million.
Pilliga, and the yowie hunt, will be featured in the episode filmed in the Narrabri district at various locations including Sawn Rocks and Pilliga forest.
Two Chinese screen celebrities led the tourists whose itinerary covered Sydney, the Hunter Valley and Mudgee wine areas and more.
Narrabri Shire tourism manager Penny Jobling hopes the group will be the forerunner of a growing number of Chinese tourists coming to the Narrabri Shire to see its unique attractions.
“The potential is huge,” Ms Jobling said.
Chinese tourism to Australia is growing fast and the visitors are looking for the authentic country Australia and bush experience.
