Crowd wanted for Governor's visit

The Youth Shack hopes for a big turn out on Tuesday

His Excellency will even get to see a pool tournament in progress, as well as cupcake decorating and a barbecue.

Narrabri will play host on Tuesday, September 12, to a visit by the Governor of NSW, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d).
Governor Hurley will be accompanied by his wife Linda as they visit groups and businesses in Narrabri.
It will be his first visit to the region in his role as Governor.
One of the groups he will be visiting will be the Youth Shack on Tibbereena Street.
Youth Shack volunteer Anna Dugdale said she hoped as many of the region’s young people aged 12-18 as possible could be at the building, between the Visitor Information Centre and The Crossing Theatre, to great the Governor and his wife.
“Anyone’s welcome,” she said.
While the Governor is not due to visit the Youth Shack until 4.45pm, it will be hosting plenty of activities for young people on a day earlier than usual.
This will include a pool competition from 4pm, with prizes for the winner, as well as cupcake decorating and a barbecue.
