First day of high school for 90 kids

The 2017 school year has begun

Some of the Narrabri High School Year 7 students who had their first day of secondary education yesterday (and modelling the new school uniforms), with principal Rod Jones and Year 7 adviser Cherrie Pocock - back, Kaleb Teer (formerly Narrabri Public School), Addison Russell (Narrabri West Public School), Montana Olding (NWPS), third row, Charlie North (NPS) Jacob Coxon (NPS), Lachlan Large (NPS), Matthew Penberthy (NPS), second row, Jemma Harvey (NWPS), Riley Longworth (partially obscured, NWPS), Jim Dent (NWPS), front, Juwan Tovehi (NWPS), Charlee Croaker (NWPS), Joshua Taylor (NPS), Eliza Weissen (NPS).

School was back in for hundreds of primary and secondary school students in Narrabri Shire yesterday, but it was extra special for 90 of them.

Narrabri High School welcomed that number into its Year 7 intake for 2017.

Principal Rod Jones said they came from a variety of primary schools in the shire.

The school also welcomed back 88 Year 11 students and 83 in Year 12 yesterday.

The other years start today.
