Inner Wheel marks 60th birthday

Historic occasion for Narrabri group

 Narrabri Inner Wheel members at the club’s 60th birthday dinner Jenni Hayne, Jenny Cable, Ros Hall, Elizabeth Spicer, Pam Foster, president Marie Keys, Beryl Heath, Joan Melbourne, Jan McKenzie,  Kay Holland, Merilyn Schulze, Margaret Norrie, Kath Hamilton, Maree Tann,  Annette Radford, Neurelle McTaggart and Di Smith.

Narrabri Inner Wheel president Marie Keys noted that the Narrabri club is the third oldest in NSW when she welcomed members and guests, including senior Inner Wheel Australia representatives to the club’s 60th birthday celebrations on Saturday night, August 5.
Guests came from Adelaide, Brisbane and Wagga and the region and included Inner Wheel Australia president Karen Winters, past Inner Wheel Australia president Marilyn Armstrong, Inner Wheel Australia treasurer Barbara Gillespie and her husband Lance Gillespie, Narrabri Shire Mayor Cathy Redding, Narrabri Rotary president Tricia Hadley, and Inner Wheel members of Narrabri, Tamworth and Wee Waa clubs and ex-members of Inner Wheel, along with community members.
The talented musicians of Jazz Junction provided entertainment.
“We are the third oldest existing club in NSW, beaten only by Leeton and North Sydney,” said Mrs Keys.
