Welcome to the 2018 NRL Courier reader’s Footy Tipping Competition and the Business House challenge which kicks off with the Dragons v Broncos game on Thursday.

From 375 entries, 25 tipsters stand ready to compete.

This list includes old hands and some new to the game.

Defending champion Ronnie Dewar stands ready.

She and her daughter Caryn lived it up at the Raddison Blu Hotel and had a grand final weekend to remember last year.

Tipsters are listed on the ladder in the order in which they were drawn out of the barrel.

Don’t forget if you weren’t one of the lucky ones to be drawn out, you can still be part of the action by participating in Beat the Biz.

In the Business House Challenge, 21 businesses are competing, welcome to all, old and new businesses, it’s great to have you on board.

The prize for both the readers’ and Business House Challenge are return flights for two to Sydney and two tickets to the grand final as well as accommodation at the 5-Star Raddison Blu Hotel for two for two nights.

The Courier is thrilled to have Raddison Blu as the major sponsor of its NRL footy tipping competitions again.

Raddison Blu is a five star Hotel, well located in the city, offering excellent facilities and services.

This year will see 25 instead of the usual 26 rounds in the preliminary competition.

This year State of Origin has one stand-alone weekend game as well as the two midweek events.

The origin games will be played in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Good luck tipsters, we hope you are ready for the elation, regrets and everyone knowing exactly where you stand in the comp.
