Mr Roden was also given a special presentation by Mr Miller on behalf of the Bowling Club.

One of Wee Waa community’s most respected, long serving volunteer workers, a helper, friend and mentor to many, Kevin Roden, was named the 2017 Wee Waa Lions Senior Citizen of the Year on Thursday.
The annual award presentation, the 32nd, is the highlight of Seniors Festival activities across the Wee Waa, Pilliga and Gwabegar communities.
The audience of Mr Roden’s fellow senior citizens, and including special guest Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton and school students, applauded the announcement by Wee Waa Lions Club president Maxine Booby.
As Mrs Booby read out the winner’s citation, cataloguing decades of voluntary service and achievements, it became evident that she could only be describing one person in particular.
