Lots of entries for poultry show

Popular annual event held again at Narrabri Showground

Narrabri and District Poultry Club hosted its annual show on Saturday, June 2, at the showground.

The show was successful, with 650 entries from the Narrabri region and New England.

Grand Champion Fowl was a Black Red Light Leg owned by G and B Sharpe of Uralla.

This bird also won Champion Bantam, with Reserve Champion Bantam being awarded to Clem Stanford of Narrabri.

Champion Large Fowl was awarded to a Minorca owned by G and B Sharpe of Uralla and Reserve Champion Large Fowl went to a Pitt Cockerel owned by T and D Johnson of Tamworth.

The judges were impressed by the standard, and commented on the good condition of the birds.
