Narrabri High School principal calls time

Rod Jones finishes tomorrow to take up a position as principal at a Tamworth secondary school

Farewell: Narrabri High School principal Rod Jones leaves tomorrow after four years in the role.

Outgoing Narrabri High School principal Rod Jones has called on the local community to get behind their school.
Mr Jones finishes at the school tomorrow, and is leaving to take up the job of principal at Peel High School in Tamworth.
Current deputy principal Dinos Charalambous will become acting principal as the Education Department advertises for a successor.
It means the end of a stint at Narrabri High School that began in term two 2013, when he took over the top job from Geoff Myers.
Mr Jones, who originally hails from Newcastle, had worked around the state since beginning his teaching career in 1988.
Prior to Narrabri he was relieving principal at Oxley High School and for six years before that principal at Gunnedah High School.
This week, he reflected on his time in Narrabri.
