Narrabri South Solar Farm advances

Community consultation meeting held last week

The proposed $100 million Narrabri South Solar Farm took another step forward last week when its developer held some community information sessions in Narrabri.
Canadian Solar project developer Shane Melotte was in town to hold a public forum at Narrabri RSL on Thursday evening and a stall in Maitland Street the next day.
Mr Melotte said it was part of the process as the project sought state government approval.
“We are continuing with our community engagement activities and site assessments, which will form part of the Environmental Impact Assessment to the Department of Planning currently under review,” he said.
“So far the community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we are very grateful for that but of course we are always keen to hear from anyone interested in knowing more about the project at any time."
