Random acts of kindness

Narrabri High School initiative proves a hit

SHARING THE KINDNESS: Narrabri High School Student Representative Council co-ordinator Maree Ford and SRC members (and Year 8 students) Laura McFarland, Paige Fielder, Rachel Charles and Anika Langfield were out and about in town on Tuesday performing ‘random acts of kindness’.

If you were surprised at work on Tuesday afternoon or found a gift in your letterbox some time in the past two days, you have every reason to smile.
The gifts were the result of Narrabri High School students performing ‘random acts of kindness’.
Student Representative Council members were out and about in the Narrabri CBD on Tuesday handing out coffee cups containing hot chocolate and sweets.
They also delivered gifts to random letterboxes throughout the town.
SRC co-ordinator Maree Ford said the random acts of kindness program was about “going out to our community to thank them for their support of the high school”.
“It’s the first time we’ve done it.”
But it might not be the last,
depending on how the public take to it.
