When Angus Williams first decided he wanted to become an Air Force pilot, little did he realise just how tough the path would be.
But thanks to a huge dose of determination, even more hard work, and a never-say-die attitude, Mr Williams, 20, has achieved that dream.
And his story is a great example for anyone else in Narrabri Shire daring to dream big but who is not too sure how to go about it.
Mr Williams recently gained direct entry into the Air Force, a feat that shouldn’t be underestimated, as this story will show.
It puts him in the elite of those who want to fly the nation’s - and some of the world’s - fastest jets.
And with the same determination that got him into the Air Force Mr Williams, who has taken part in recent Anzac Day flypasts in conventional planes, could achieve another goal by piloting something much more powerful in future ceremonies.
