2018-19 summer touch comp underway

The 2018-19 Narrabri Touch summer season officially got underway on Monday afternoon at Cooma Oval.

The competition was scheduled to start on Monday, October 22, but the first round matches were washed out.

This season there are 14 men’s teams and 12 ladies’ teams.

There were 13 matches scheduled to be played on Monday afternoon - seven men’s games and six ladies’ matches - but only 12 went ahead.

In the women’s games Agies Ladies took on Steph’s Angels and won 13-0, Dolphins outscored Rave 7-5, BPR beat the RSL Roulettes 8-1, Xtra and Emus drew 2-2, Specialised Civil Services downed Hounddogs 7-2 and Redbacks beat Mini Emus 6-0.

In the men’s matches Grumley Builders outscored Outback Shack Tigers 6-1, Gee Bangers beat Hidden Talent 6-3, Emus downed Mowley’s Maniacs 8-2, Dangardays defeated ODAP’s 11-6, Ballbusters beat Round Ballers 6-2 and ARP Bottletops beat Stylies 7-1.

In the other scheduled men’s game Cougars forfeited to One23.
