Blues smash the Warriors to book a Dogs rematch

Narrabri 74 Collegian 0

Narrabri Blues five eighth Hayden Bell slides in for one of his side’s 14 tries at Collins Park on Saturday afternoon in its minor semi-final win against Collegian Warriors.

The Narrabri Blues first grade side booked a preliminary final spot with a dominant 74-0 win against Collegian at Collins Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues crossed for 14 tries and kicked nine goals in their final home game of the season.

The first grade team was the only one of the three in the finals series to play on Saturday in the minor semi-finals.

The reserve grade and under-18s sides played in major semi-finals on Sunday.

Reserve grade continued its undefeated 2017 season with a 40-14 victory against Gunnedah, but the under-18s lost 30-18 against North Tamworth.

Those results meant that the Blues will play Gunnedah in first grade and under-18s this weekend at Kitchener Park in preliminary finals.

The reserve grade side’s victory saw it qualify for the grand final, where it will meet the winner of a Gunnedah and North Tamworth preliminary final.
