Cameron and Chilia star for Bolters

Outstanding efforts from NDCA duo

Lachlan Cameron, pictured here playing for Civeo last season, smashed 64 runs from 23 deliveries in a Northern Inland Bolters win on Sunday.

Civeo skipper Lachlan Cameron and Tatts all-rounder and 2017-18 Narrabri District Cricket Association first grade grand final man-of-the-match Jelany Chilia travelled to Port Macquarie to compete at the Plan B Regional Bash state T20 cricket competition on the weekend.

The local duo played for Northern Inland Bolters, and did their Central North representative selection hopes a world of good.

In the third of the Bolters’ three pool matches the duo starred in an impressive win.

Opponents Macquarie Coast Stingers batted first and made 204.

Chilia took 5-47 from his four overs.

Cameron exploded to life in the Bolters’ run chase.

After making just 12 and 11 in the first two respective matches, Cameron showed exactly why he is one of the most feared batsmen not just in Narrabri, but throughout Central North.

Cameron blasted 64 runs off just 23 deliveries to help the Bolters move to 5-137 from 10 overs.

The Northern Inland men reached the required total eight overs later.

Chilia was awarded the man-of-the-match in that victory for his haul.

Despite that impressive win the Bolters finished second in their pool, denying the side a chance to progress to the SCG finals.

The Bolters went down to pool winners Coffs Coast Chargers by 15 runs on Saturday.

In Northern Inland’s second game it beat Northern Rivers Rock by 20 runs.
