The Cavaliers stepped onto the basketball court for the first match of its title defece, after defeating Hop-A-Long 41-24 in the grand final last season.
The side took on Magic on Tuesday night and celebrated a 65-28 win.
Cavs lined up with Zac Lauritsen, Riley Tout, Jake Brayshaw, Damien Trinder and Mitchell Nair.
Its opponents, Magic, saw Kaleb Teer, Steve Berger, Adam Teer, Kevin Lawty and Riley Lamb compete in the match.
Cavs went into the half time break with a commanding 25-point lead.
Tout swung the game in the Cavs’ favour early, with nine quick points to help his team establish a handy lead.
Magic managed six points which all came through Berger.
But the Cavs flexed their muscled as Tout (nine) Brayshaw (10), Lauritsen (eight) and Nairn and Trinder (both two) all scored points to send their side into the break with a 31-6 lead.
