FC wins by five in Moree

Narrabri FC, Moree Services FC and Gunnedah all won in their respective round 12 NSL matches on Saturday

Narrabri FC’s Danny Laws turns a Moree Two defender on the left wing on Saturday afternoon in Moree.

Narrabri FC remained two points behind Namoi Soccer League leaders Moree Services FC on Saturday, when the two sides won their respective round 12 matches.

Narrabri FC downed Moree Two 6-1 in Moree, while Moree SFC scored a 1-0 win against Wee Waa United FC in Wee Waa.

In the other match in round 12 Crossroads Eleven FC was downed 5-2 by Gunnedah at home.

In Moree, Narrabri FC took a 3-0 lead into the break, following quality goals to Colby Williams either side of a Blake Jarrett one-on-one strike.

Williams scored his first from the left corner spot before smashing a left footed strike into the top right hand corner from outside the

18-yard box with a minute left in the half.

Goals to Rhys Hayne, Jason Foxe and Jake Brayshaw put the side ahead 6-0, before Moree Two grabbed a consolation goal from corner late in the match.

At Hogan Oval, Gunnedah was reduced to 10 men after a player was sent off shortly after the side established a 1-0 win against the home team Crossroads Eleven.

Gunnedah then scored two more before Crossroads hit back through Connor Hill and Justin Lawrence to make the score 3-2.

However, Gunnedah found the net twice more to secure a 5-2 win.

At Cook Oval in Wee Waa a headed goal from a corner in the first half saw Moree SFC beat Wee Waa.
