Five high-scoring senior matches in round 11

Four rounds to go in the 2018 season

Phoenix’s Alex Hall throws a pass around Golfie Grubs’ Nicole Gleeson-Lendon on Saturday in their B-grade game.

The Narrabri Netball Association hosted round 11 of its 2018 winter season at the Bev Burrows Courts on Saturday.

Five of the six scheduled senior matches were contested, all of which were high-scoring affairs.

Only one A-grade game was played, after Fever forfeited against Mixed Up midweek.

That game saw NWC and Narrabri Pharmacy Flamingos go head-to-head.

NWC won that match 46-24, which saw it move above the Flamingos to 10 points.

It finished the round in third spot, with Mixed Up moving to second after its forfeit victory against Fever.

NWC and Mixed Up meet this weekend in round 12, in a match where the winner will move into outright second place.

In B-grade Bron’s Babes were too good for the RSL Babes in a 41-34 victory.

The win saw Bron’s Babes move four points clear of RSL Babes at the top of the table.

Third-placed B-grade side Phoenix met last-placed Golfie Grubs.

Phoenix kept its hopes of finishing in second place alive with a 45-29 victory.

To achieve that it must beat Bron’s Babes in round 12 on Saturday.

In the other round 12 B-grade contest the RSL Babes take on Golfie Grubs.

In C-grade on Saturday Wee Waa continued its undefeated run when it scored a comfortable 46-13 victory against Bluebirds.

Wee Waa has won all 11 of its matches this season, and with four matches remaining it is in front by eight points.

That means that should Wee Waa win its round 12 clash on Saturday against second-placed MGAS 13s, it would have officially wrapped up the minor premiership.

MGAS also won big on Saturday, downing last-paced Firebirds 38-12.
