Foundation member now a life member

Bill Guest becomes Galloping Gully's fifth life member

Bill Guest receives his life membership off Ian ‘Bones’ Falkiner.

Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club will celebrate a major milestone in 2018 when its 50th anniversary as a club arrives.

Gully was formed back in 1968, and has become a hugely successful club with a well-decorated history.

However, none of that would have been possible had the club not been formed.

Almost 50 years ago a dedicated group of foundation members started the club, and many have continued to help it remain a success.

One of those foundation members, who still plays an active role with the club almost 50 years on is Bill Guest.

So when Guest was announced as a Gully life member late last month it brought a smile to the faces of club members past and present, but no one more than Guest himself.

“It’s an honour,” the 66-year-old said.
