The annual Narrabri Jockey Club race meeting was held at the Narrabri Racecourse on Saturday June 3.

It was second time lucky for the club, with the meeting initially scheduled for March 18 postponed due to excess rain.

One of the major drawcards for the event was the Tourist Hotel Wee Waa Cup.

The Leon Cross-trained The Cabarita Kid emerged victorious in the five-horse race.

The Cabarita Kid was ridden by Jodi Worley, who rode a total of two winners, a second and a third at the meeting.

Worley rode The Cabarita Kid to .06 of a length win, just edging out the Michelle Fleming-trained and Billy Cray-ridden $2.30 favourite St Luke, which finished second.

The 2016 Wee Waa Cup winner Medal Of Glory was also a part of the race.

It finished third, two-and-a-half lengths behind The Cabarita Kid.

About Time won the main event - the Bell Family - Westlands Narrabri Cup.
