Narrabri FC began the 2017 Namoi Soccer League with a dominant round one win against rivals Crossroads Eleven in the derby at Hogan Oval on Saturday.

Goals to player-coach Rhys Hayne, Jake Brayshaw, Jason Foxe, Riley Dafter and a Blake Jarrett double ensured the three points in a strong 6-0 win.

Narrabri FC’s Hayne said that he was extremely pleased with his side’s performance, but said his side needed to lift before its next match on April 29, away against Moree Two.

“I was really proud of the boys,” he said.
