The Smart Kenny Cup is back in Narrabri’s hands.
The 2017 event was contested between Narrabri and Gunnedah on Sunday, July 30 at Cooma Oval.
The Smart Kenny Cup is an annual event, where the winner of the most matches on the day between the two clubs wins the cup, and keeps it for a year.
Narrabri won the Cup in 2015, but Gunnedah took it back last year at home.
However this year it was the host side which won the day, with Narrabri defeating Gunnedah in five of the eight grades.
Two of those wins were forfeit victories.
On the day both sides won three matches each, following six highly entertaining games of junior rugby league.
Narrabri celebrated wins in the under-7s, under-9s and under-11s divisions.
The Bulldogs claimed victories in under-6s, under-8s and under-13s.
Forfeit wins to Narrabri in under10s and 12s helped the Blues become the Cup holders for another year.
