Starkey sisters to compete state-side

Two Maules Creek sisters will embark on the trip of a lifetime in less than a month.

Hope Starkey, 15, and Dusty Starkey, 10, the daughters of Leanne and Corey Starkey, were selected as members of the Australian Junior Rodeo Association team in February.

That team will travel to the United States of America to compete at the Youth Rodeo Finals in June.

The event will run from June 14-17 in Gonzalo, Texas.

The pair was chosen for the team from a large pool of applicants based on their credentials and previous success.
