Third junior challenge and Australian youth matches to headline massive carnival

This weekend will be a huge one for the Narrabri Polocrosse Club, and for players all over the shire

Narrabri’s two Australian international under-16 players Jessie Melbourne (Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club) and Makayla Elford (Narrabri Polocrosse Club).

The Narrabri Polocrosse Club is set to welcome about 400 players to the Narrabri Racecourse this weekend.

The club will host its third Landmark Junior Challenge, three Australian youth matches in the Coates Hire Australian Junior Series and the club’s annual carnival in a huge weekend of polocrosse.

The Australian Junior Series will see the 12 best under-16 polocrosse players in Australia split into two teams, which will go head-to-head in three matches.

The first of those takes place tomorrow night from 7pm.

The second two will be played on Saturday - one in the day and one at night.

Narrabri has two representative in the series.

Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club member Jessie Melbourne and Narrabri Polocrosse Club’s Makayla Elford will line up together on the same team.
