Three Stingrays break records at home carnival

Rachel Caton, Toby Michell-Smith and Nick Tomlinson all broke records at the recent Narrabri swimming carnival

Stingrays swimmers Nick Tomlinson and Toby Michell-Smith both broke records at the club’s recent carnival, as did Rachel Caton who was absent from the photo.

The Narrabri Stingrays Swimming Club hosted the first qualifying event of the New England and North West swimming season on Sunday, November 12.

Three Stingrays members broke records on the day - Rachel Caton, Toby Michell-Smith and Nick Tomlinson.

Rachel broke club records in the 14-years 50m breaststroke, which as held by Aimee Foster, broke her own open 50m breaststroke record and set the open 200m breaststroke record.

Toby broke the pool record in the 12-years 400m freestyle, which was held by Angus Gourley

Nick broke the pool records in the 16-years 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly, and the 16-years club record in the 50m butterfly.

Those three records were all previously held by Elijah Barnes.
