The Narrabri Touch summer competition reached its conclusion on Monday night following five classic grand finals.
The matches saw Pink Panthers (men’s A-grade), Blazers (ladies A-grade), Cougars (men’s B-grade), Summers (ladies B-grade) and Stylemasters (men’s C-grade) crowned the 2016-17 touch champions.
Pink Panthers defeated Crossroad Yowies 6-3 in the final fixture of the night.
Earlier, Blazers downed Agies Ladies 3-2 after player of the match Mae Harvey ran away for the match-winning try in a drop-off.
Alongside that game was the C-grade men’s final.
In that match Stylemasters beat Namoi Smugglers 8-3.
Both B-grade finals kicked off the night.
In the B-grade ladies match Summers edged out BPR 2-1.
B-grade men’s was the other match which began the proceedings
That was a one-way contest, as the Cougars celebrated a 9-2 win against North West Events.
The night signalled not just an end to the competition, but also to Tracy Warren’s time with Narrabri Touch.
Warren has spent 20 enjoyable years as a both player and fulfilling various roles on the committee.
