Town claims inaugural super 10 win

Town wins by three wickets

Town Heat junior captain Allyssa Ford with Town Heat senior captain Nick Smart. Town did the double, winning in both matches.

The fourth Narrabri District Cricket Association Charity Cup match was played last Friday night.

But before that match was contested the inaugural Town v Country super 10 match was played.

It featured 10 junior cricketers for each side.

Narrabri cricketers played for Town, and those outside Narrabri played for Country.

The Town side included Tim Shields, Kallum Mallows, Ben Stiller, Will Ford, Caitlyn Ford, Alyssa Ford, Bernard O’Connor, Elsie Ford, Sid Harvey and Alistair Wheeler.

The Country side was dominated by Wee Waa cricketers.

It included Jack Hatton, Nick Hand, Riley McGlenaghan, Will Kelly, Angus Galagher, Dylan Smith, Hugh Hunter, Jacob Hopman, Fergus Hunter and Dustyn Allen.

Country batted first and made 6-61 from its 10 overs.

Town chased that down in the final two balls of its run chase.
