The Narrabri Blue Boars under-14 rugby union side will line up for its biggest game of the year on Friday night.
Following an extremely successful season in the regional under-14 rugby competition the side will take on Armidale for the championship.
That successful season included nine regular season wins on the park, two via forfeit, and no losses in an undefeated season.
The Narrabri boys piled on 465 points in those nine wins and conceded just 130 points.
In eight of the nine wins the side scored four or more tries, which saw it earn eight bonus points.
That saw it finish with 52 competition points, 10 more than second-placed Armidale.
Blue Boars co-coach Chris Fowler said that he was extremely proud of what his side had achieved in 2018, as well as the way that they had conducted themselves.
“I’m very proud of the boys, they’ve had a fantastic year, Fowler said.
“They didn’t lose a game but it’s not just about not losing, they’ve showed up each week to training twice a week for a long period.
“It’s very pleasing, we had five or six new boys come over.
“The pleasing thing for Ken and I is the way they’ve embraced the training and there’s never any complaints or arguments.”
